Meyer began fishing professionally in 2007 and joined the FLW Tour in 2009. Since his debut, his fishing has only been getting better. 2012 was Meyer’s best season to date, notably posting a career-high fifth-place finish in the Kellogg’s Walmart FLW Tour Angler of the Year race. Meyer is no stranger to success, and seems to perform his best under the biggest and brightest spotlights. In the five years that he has qualified for the Forrest Wood Cup, Meyer has finished in second-, third-, seventh-, 11th- and 36th-place. Meyer is known for his love of western lakes which have allowed him to master techniques like finesse fishing and topwater. Meyer is married to wife Kari and when not fishing, his hobbies include bike riding, swimming and going to the movies.
